The Evolution of PC Tablets

Welcome to the 21st Century, a century in which technology affects our daily lives in a negative and a positive manner. From an 8-year-old to a 65-year-old, every individual seems to be carrying some type of technological device, whether it’s a cell phone, a laptop, or an iPod. People seem to be ignoring the “big boxes” that they once used to communicate with one another around the world. PCs seem to be outdated with new types of PC tablets and laptops coming out every other day. Not every tablet is going to be as fast or as efficient as a desktop, but a tablet can be used easily by any age group. With the exception of making a phone call, a tablet will serve your daily needs, whether you want to watch a movie, send out an email, or work on a spreadsheet.

Tablets can be used by anyone. You don’t have to be an entrepreneur or software engineer to utilize a PC tablet. Tablets can be used by college students, kindergarten kids, and even teenagers. For example, college students can easily access an application called Awesome Note in which they can organize and take their notes from lectures.  Kids can utilize an app called TeachMe: Kindergarten which helps kindergarten-aged children addition, subtraction, words, and spelling. Teenagers can use social networking apps like Facebook and Twitter to get in touch with their friends.
PC Tablets have been around for many years now, and they will continue to get play a significant role in daily lives of children and adults in the near future. Whether it is the light weight or the fast operating systems, PC tablets seem to be in a popular demand. The fact that they are age appropriate, cheaper than laptops and desktop computers, and offer great benefits like the size and the accessibility is what makes them stand out in the tech world.
